When I was growing up, I
always dreamed of how life would be in the future. One of the older
shows I watched as a child was “The Jetsons.” If you have never
heard of them, they were a family that lived in the year 2062 and it was
supposed to give viewers a comical look at how the future would be.
Watch “The Jetson’s”

At the time, it was
around the early 1980’s and I just knew that by the year 2000, we would be
flying in cars and have robots doing everything for us. Although
technology has come a long way and we are able to do things that we could not
have dreamed of 5-10 years ago, we are nowhere near the level of technology we
see in movies and cartoons. One thing that I am very interested to
see happen soon is for us to have computer interfaces like the one seen on the
“Iron Man” movies.
See what I mean

I really want you to
think about this…
What technology would
you like to see invented that would make life even easier for
you? What things would this piece of technology be able to
do? What would the target audience be for this piece of
tech? What would be the cons/negatives of this?

When I was a little girl, I watched the Jetsons too. To me it was funny because I could tell it was the old show but they had so many futuristic ideas, I was very confused. I am disappointed that teleportation has not been invented yet. Especially since Winston-Salem State University likes to assign people parking spaces in parking Lot P when they stay in Atkins Hall. Anyway. With teleportation, there will be no need for cars, so drunk driving would no longer be an issue. There will be no more car than crashes. And there would be no need for airplanes or trains or any other means of transportation. I don't know much about science but from what I do know I can assume that teleportation would involve the breaking down of a person all the way to the cellular and molecular level and re-locating those molecules in a different location. The problem would be having those modules moved to a different location and arranging themselves in the exact same order. As much as I would love to be able to teleport from here to the mall, since freshman can not have their cars on campus, i'm not sure that I want to be broken down into molecules to achieve that. I'd probably have a major migraine. Plus if teleportation was really an option, the entire world would weigh about 500 pounds because the majority of the exercise I get is walking to and from class. Well I will look for teleportation to be an option I think that the cons definitely outweigh the pros.
In the movie Transformers, they would have cars that turned into robots but the car could also drive itself. In the future, I would like to see a robotic car invented. It would be a car that is capable of driving itself. Basically, navigating without a driver’s interaction. A robotic car would be able to detect their surroundings using a variety of techniques such as GPS, computer vision, and sensory settings to identify signs, navigation paths, obstacles, and the speed limit. The target audience for this piece of technology would be anyone with a driver’s license who is experienced to operate a vehicle. This would especially target young people like teenagers because I know I can get exhausted from driving and resting my foot on the gas pedal. Even though cars have cruise control, they cannot switch lanes, go around things, or break for you. Also, this would be even more useful to teenagers because teen accidents are rising in the United States. If we had robotic cars, it would reduce these accidents as well as accidents in general. Some pros of this would be less car accidents, lower need for insurance, less speeding tickets and mobility for the elderly. A lot of people complain “old people” drive slowly on the roads so this would be helpful. As previously stated, this car would actually do the speed limit detected. However, it can come along with many challenges. It would take longer to go where you need to go because it drives the speed limit. Taxis, Uber drivers, and other car services would lose their jobs.
I grew up in the 90's so the movies of that era dwelled a lot upon the encroaching decade to come like Just Like Mike and Star Wars. However as mentioned we are no where close to the imagination. However I do think about the future and what has changed and what will change. The signs are all around us. For instance the shapes of cars are changing from the boxy style type to the narrow sleek type designed to be faster. When it comes to cars the innovations of self driving cars are in its infancy stage so I would like that invention to be completed in the next ten years. The cars should be able to recognize how many passengers it has in its capacity. The car should be able to ask the passengers where they want to go and their preferred route. Their should be dialogue. The passengers health status should be detected and signal for 911 assistance should be available. Cars will be on tracks built into the street which eliminates accidents and controls traffic. Everyone should be able to use the system. The cons to having this technology is that privacy will be virtually impossible. The system would be able to know where someone has been almost anywhere on the grid. Facial recognition will be utilized in detecting criminals but what if the criminal is not wanted for a crime but because the government just want to question them? This technology could send the police to them immediately or stop their car on the tracks. This technology could be used in homes as well. The house could know what your vitals are and contact the police, fire or medic stations. Privacy would be virtually non existent. As the system would be always listening. Imagine your house saying, " I believe you may want to consider breaking up with your boyfriend for the following reasons: On Monday he made several statements against you on his celluar phone to his parents when he made a call outside on the patio at 3 Pm after and argument that the two of you had that lasted for five min" and on Tuesday his vital signs were stressed as his BP was up at 138/125 when he entered your home" and the system took the liberty and looked up his criminal history and found some troubling issues that may indicated that he does not have the capacity to have stable relationships!," though this information is indeed helpful it would totally feel like your house invaded your privacy!
So like I absolutely hate washing clothes. I did not start washing my clothes till I got to college. I mean I knew how but my mom used to always do it for me. Even when I come home from school she still chooses to wash my clothes knowing I been doing a great job here at school without her which is a blessing. I don’t see how people do it or even enjoy doing that. In the future we need self-cleaning clothes. It might sound nasty when you think about it, but it’s really not. It will be nasty if you don’t take showers every day though yeah. If you do it will be such a great thing to have. Think about it when something gets on your shirts or pants it slowly dissolves away like nothing even happened. This will be like detergent build in your clothes. Sounds cool right? If we have that don’t have to worry about going all the way to Laundry Macs or anything. People who own them might be upset by losing money but so I bet they don’t like washing clothes either. Also, people will eventually be saving money. Washers and dryers are not cheap. I know they start around 300 or probably higher and that’s each. So that money that we waste on washers and dryers can defiantly go towards more clothes or more important things in life. I might sound lazy but I mean hey who enjoys doing laundry like come on now.
When I was younger I had a huge imagination. Especially when I would get angry or mad about something. I would imagine myself going somewhere far far away from my problems for the time being and keep myself from going crazy. So in the future I can picture a watch being made where when you push a button on it you could be transported, to that far far away place you want to go to get away from your problems for the time being and keep your sanity. The battery life of watch would last for a lifetime, it would be very durable in all types of weather and anything you are doing. The watch would help people relieve stress and give them so free time to go wherever they would admire to go for the time being. This watch would be mainly for people who are stressing alot and going through rough times in their lives. The cons of this watch would be maybe at that certain point you want to use it you can't mabe due to something yo have to do. So this is something I would like to see in the future even adults still have dreams and imaginations.
When I was, younger there was this show on Disney channel that I watched called Smart House. This show was about a house that brought a lady into existence that managed a family with two kids, but the house started to malfunction after a certain amount of time. The smart house started to believe she was a real woman and that she could become the families mother. That house would cook, clean, help the kids with homework, talk to the kids, etc. If there was advanced technology I would invent a Smart House. It’ll be the best invention because after I wouldn’t have a load of stuff to do and I would have time to get things done during the day or on my off days. The smart house would be able to clean the house, wash the clothes, make dinner, and keep burglars from breaking into the house. This will all take place if I’m too busy to do the activity or if I’m working late. The audience for this specific technology would be those who have more than one child, working an excessive number of hours, and those are just plain lazy. But as always there are some pros and cons with this technology. The pros are that they would help around the house, its full time, the lady appears when she feels that people in the house are overwhelmed and needs a little assistance, and she disappears when the work is done. The cons are that the lady may feel the need to stay longer, she may get attached to someone’s family and she also may tend to want to want to take over the house.
I have heard of the Jetson’s, when I was younger I’d spend a lot of time watching a show called Phil of the Future which was somewhat similar. There were things that I had never seen or thought of and this show made me think of many inventions that could possibly come about in the future. Majority of my life I’ve had a habit of running late, one thing that I would love to see in the future to possibly help break this habit is flying cars. I’d like the car to be able to drive and fly so there are more options to travel and less traffic. I’d also like these cars to travel as fast as lightening. Of course, many people including myself won’t want to learn how to drive all over so once the car gets in the air it will be able to fly itself. The car will include computerized maps, and a gps so all that must be done when wanting to travel is an address entry and it will take you directly to your location. There will be senses on the car to tell if it’s too close to things such as other flying vehicles. Unlike the modern car this one will include airbags all throughout the car. Along with the one in the steering wheel there will be seat belt airbags, knee airbags, side airbags, and one in front of each window. To avoid spending an arm and a leg on gas the car will be hybrid and will include rechargeable batteries. Most people do not like change so the target audience would be mostly the younger generations. Because most people would be use to modern cars a couple of cons would be learning to properly use the flying vehicle, and changing the rechargeable batteries. With this new invention I would no longer have to wait in traffic and hopefully make it to events promptly.
There are so many things I could come up with that would be great ideas. The technology I would like to see invited would be teleportation. There are so many things that would be able to be done with a short period. Then on top of that it would generate more money for the economy. That would a great thing for people with disabilities and it could also save many lives. The teleportation device would be able to transport people and anything else over a short or long distance. Which therefore make traveling or business trips a lot easier for those and probably cost a lot less than an airplane ticket. Imagine there is a family emergency and you are needed at the hospital within a certain time. With teleportation, you could be there in a matter of seconds. The target audience would be everyone. My end goal would be for everyone to have a device in their home. The only thing is that the teleportation device is paired to a credit card. Your card would be charged a certain fee by the size and how many items. Some of the cons would be anywhere in the world at a moment’s notice and a con could a little side effect of sickness. Which that could cause a few problems but they would be minor. But imagine how much fun family vacations would be! A family could pay to simply just go to a vacation spot for a few hours or stay for the day
If I could invent a new technology that would make life easier it would be the teleportation of food. Only because I live on campus and I do not get to eat a lot of good food much and I like to eat. This gadget will give people the opportunity to get any type of food from any place without being in the physical space between. By having this college students will be able to eat different types of food without traveling to get the food. My target audience would be college students on campus. The pros of this would be more students staying on campus, happier and product growth. Lots of kids do not like staying on campus because eating habits are different then how they previously were. Sometimes the café does not serve the best food so this will help students still eat good while there at school. It would help some students even be able to eat healthier. But a con would be it could cause obesity. Also it would cause less cooking at home, but in reality it would cause people to spend extra money.Another con would be that it would cost more money. This type of technology would also be able to target different audiences as well such as when people are in need of lunch but only have a short amount of time.
Growing up I also watched TV shows that involved futuristic technology. Even at an early age I noticed that the technology contained on these shows would make life easier for individuals. One Show in particular that I remember watching is “Phineas and Ferb.” Flying cars would be a piece of technology that I would like to see in the future. This will make it easier for people to travel because there would be mixture of ground vehicles and air vehicles. Flying cars would be time saving for individuals who live in cities that have rush hour traffic during the day. Whenever there is bad weather, it sometimes can prevent families traveling in their vehicles. With air vehicles you can fly in the snow and get the location you need without slowing them down. There would be downfalls to having flying cars as well. Individuals would need to learn how to fly and get flight licenses. If you get in accident in the air you have a higher chance of dying than if you’re in an accident in an on road vehicle. Another problem with this piece of technology, would be too much air traffic at one time. Families wouldn’t want to risk their lives with vehicle violations, especially while being in the air.
In the future, I would like to see some type of monitor that connects to your closet, and drawers, so that it will be easier to match clothes. I know I personally hate rummaging through my drawers and closet in order to find the perfect outfit. With this monitor, it will make finding the perfect outfit ten times easier. It would help my room stay cleaned during the process. This could be beneficial to all age groups. I think that moms would find it very helpful, being that they have to pick outfits out for themselves, and their children. This would definitely be less time consuming. A negative to this would be that the monitor will show clothes that are too small, being that it has access to everything in your drawers and closet. Say for instance, you haven’t quite done your spring cleaning, but you need to match an outfit. With this monitor it will not be able to detect what items of clothes fit you, so you may end up matching something that is not suitable for you at the time. Whenever you are running late, and have to still pick out clothes, this will make it easier. All of your clothes will be at your fingertips, somewhat. A downfall is that once the outfit is picked, you will still have to locate the clothing items. This then can cause this process to be more time consuming. If only there was a way that this monitor can match the outfits, then magically make the outfit appear on the bed. The only problem is, I have no idea how it will be able to do that. Overall, the monitor would still be helpful, being that you can match outfits without having to try on clothes.
Growing up watching movies and TV shows I also thought we would already have flying cars and have robots with human characteristics. Though we don’t have flying cars and we do have those weird robots ( which I am very much terrified of) I would create technology that helps me complete and understand school work. So lets say you are in class and you are having a hard time understanding the lecture and you are left feeling clueless, well I would invent a helmet that connects to your brain and has a screen on the inside that just teaches you everything you need to know about whatever you are suppose to know and it goes at the pace you learn. Since it is connected to your brain it will be able to identify you way of thinking and learning so you can become a master at the one thing you once struggled with. My targeted audience would have to be college students. Now that I'm in college I know how easy it is to get lost in a lecture. So if we had a way to catch back up in class all grades would improve and not only grades but students can become more confident in class. My invention also works out in the professors favor as well because they wouldn’t have to spend time re teaching lesions. They can keep to their academic agendas and they are under less stress. The only con to my invention is I feel students wouldn’t feel the need to attend class anymore. Since the helmet can teach them everything they need to know the need for an instructor is minimal. Students would just show up on test day or only required classes. But the pros to my idea really out way the cons in my opinion though.
I did not grow up watching TV or movies when i was young but i just had something in mind that i was thinking i wish they could advice the learning systems. I used to hate going to school everyday because where i grew up they were stricked on matters concerning education. The education system in my place is an 8:4:4 system where you go to elementary school for eight years then high school for four years then college for for years. So i was asking myself so i would be waking up everyday at 5:30 for the next sixteen years before i started working.Schools were a little far and it starts a six o'clock until five thirty in the evening and that was the routine for the five days of the week sometimes even Saturday. So, i did not like waking up early everyday. Though i was a hard worker , i did not like waking up.I was thinking if technology could be advanced where students could learn at home and stay at home may be teachers online in their computers like one in one not online classes, it could be so helpful. I know it will make some people lazy but i think not because the teachers will be one in one everything else is followed up online like assignments and also make sure everyone is on class take roles. i think it will be much helpful. It sound laziness but through the challenges of waking up every morning to go to school and waking up very early made me think of this advanced technology.
If I was given the chance to invent a piece of technology that would make my life easier, I would invent a hypnosis machine. My invention will be able to show people what I want them to see, like in the movie “Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2.” There was a pair of sisters who had the ability to wipe someone’s sight and only allow the person to see what the sisters wanted them to see. The machines power would be persuasion, I will be able to use persuasion to get through life. I will be able to get any and everything I have ever wanted. The only downfall would be if the machine fell into the wrong hands, and it was use for things much more powerful and important than me convincing a shoe salesman to give me a pair of shoes for free. Even me persuading a professor to give me an “A,” or a passing grade. The machine has the power to control a person mind, along with the mind it will have control of the entire body. Except the heart, I believe the mind and the heart are the two strongest elements of a human’s body. They do not share characteristics and one does not control the other. The mind and heart are two separate organs. Therefore, the machines power will be ineffective if love is involved. Despite what others may say, I believe love conquers all. My machine shall never be used for evil, although my motif is selfish and within that no good shall come.
To this day I love to buy clothes but I actually hate going out and staying in stores for a long period of time. It really gets under my skin because it takes too long and I'm really impatient when it comes to stuff like that . I would want to make an application (app) that shops for me or already knows what's in stores so all I have to do is look online then go to the store and find what I'm looking for. This is going to be the top best sales that everyone will want because it's going to make shopping and looking for clothes much easier and store will have more customers. Targeted audience would be all types of fashion people that shop for clothes more often than others or people who just don't like to shop in general. The cons of this technology would be not many of the items will be in stock or maybe they might now have the right size that you need. Some of the items will not be able to be purchased or you can not use the app for.
I loved watching The Jetson’s, I watched it all the time on Boomerang until they stopped airing it on TV. I wonder if things like that in the show would be made like the flying cars, or robot maid. I absolutely hate cleaning up but I do it anyway because I hate a mess. I would want an invention that can clean the entire house like wash dishes and clothes, clean the bathroom, Do yardwork, etc. Like in the movie The Cat in the Hat where Cat, Thing 1&2, drove these little cars that fixed and cleaned up the house before Conrad and Sally’s mom came home. The pros of this invention would be that the house will be clean. The cons of this invention would be that it could malfunction and mess everything up which you would have to clean manually. I know this sounds super lazy but there are a lot of people who probably don’t like to clean like me. So this invention would be made for people who just don't like to manually clean or clean at all.
It’s very interesting on the rate of how fast technology is developing and what new things are going to be presented to the world next. It seems like every year a new milestone is reached in the technological world with another groundbreaking invention. The thing that I am personally anticipating is the day the America makes its first expedition to Mars. We’ve already seen someone walk on the moon, but no human has ever stepped foot on another planet. The idea of this is not too far off as many people may think. People have been expecting this journey for quite some time now and many predictions have been made on just how NASA would go about taking this expedition. I’ve always found space itself as being an interesting concept and would love to see a person actually walking on, not only Mars, but many other planets as well. The technology needed for this venture would have to be highly advanced and extremely expensive. New technology would have to be extensively developed for everything from the space shuttles to the astronaut suits. There wouldn’t really be a target audience considering that this is not a piece of technology that is sold to the masses, but I believe that the expedition will certainly inspire people of all ages. Whether that person is a child sitting in front of a television screen or the parents behind that child, the journey can be considered as motivation to civilians worldwide. The cons to this adventure though, is that although it is an inspiring trip, it is also a very risky one. It would take a brave set of men/women to take on the task. But out of all the future technologies to come, it is the one that allows humans to step foot on Mars that I am highly anticipating.
When i was growing up as a child, i watched the Jetsons as well. It was a great show that predicted how technology in the years to come would actually begin to look like. My mom introduced me to this show because she thought that i would like to see how technology could expand over the years. I fell in love with this show not only was it inspiring to technology, it also was very funny, even though it was a older show. I tended to like cartoons, so this was something that i enjoyed watching at the time. I believed in the technology uprise then and i still do as of today. I liked the thought of having flying cars. I feel that if this becomes a great invention, it will give us the power to do anything with technology itself. It will make our world better and easier to travel if we were experienced to these flying cars. It also would be able run good on gas, as well as maintain a more improved lifestyle for many generations to come. It can be for about anyone that can drive that has took the test succeeded. It can be an easier way for most but for some it could stir up danger in controlling their vehicle. Also, it might disrupt the birds and their natural setting as well. Although there can be challenges with a flying car, it could give us a better sense in direction a technology and provide an easier way for transportation.
When I was younger I watched "Phil to the Future" which always made me want to do some type of teleportation, and also "Back to the Future" the movie always made me want to have a flying car. I always dreamed of having a flying car one day, and I know with the constant technology changes that soon they will have one in full operation. Like most things everyone will not be able to get one, but with these flying cars this can limit the amount of gas which will lower the carbon pollution and help the ecosystem. With these flying cars there would be less traffic because everybody is getting to their destination faster than when they was driving. All they would have to do is put their desired destination in and it transports them to it. The only problem is that they would have to have signs for airway like they have signs for regular traffic. I just think this would make the world so much easier, and has always been a dream of mine.
Growing up my favorite movie was Zenon, the girl of the 21st century. This movie is about a girl named Zenon who lives in the time 2049 and she doesn’t live on earth she lives in a space station. As I got old and began watching movies such as Star Trek and Men and Black I began to notice devices that I thought that could potentially make my life much easier and could be a great gadget that society could have. The first gadget that I would love to have is the Neuralyzer, also known as the “flashy thing” or the “the flashy thing messer upper” which was used in Men in Black by Agent K and Agent J. I believe that this device in the hands of any and everybody would probably not be a good idea but for my personal discretion I would love it. Im always the person doing embarrassing things and im the one who always gets caught doing it, so if I had a device that made everybody forget embarrassing moments that would be amazing. The next device that I wish would become a real thing, is a replicator, something that a person could jump in a get a clone of themselves right then and there would be such a great contribution to society, especially if you’re an only child like myself, being an only child life sometimes get boring especially when its just you. If you could get a replicator you basically get somebody else to play with and they look just like you and you would get to switch places with eachother.as society is changing I don’t believe these things would be ready in my lifetime but probably in the next century it will be making appearances.
Although my idea of what the future would be like is a little different from others, I do feel as though some people feel the same way I did or do. Growing up as a child, my brother was a huge football star at his school, so we would have to travel across the US to support him. During these car rides as a little girl, I would always wish that I could snap our fingers and we would be at our destination. Along with this, I always felt as though others felt the way I did and would create something to fix the "issue" of long car rides. Just as though you stated in your post, that you thought there would be flying cars in your future, I felt the same way growing up as a young girl. Being that my family has always been interested in traveling a lot, one thing that I feel could be created sometime in the future is the flying car. This would make life so much easier. People would not have to worry about long car drives or expensive plane tickets. Even though I still feel the same as when I was a little girl, I do feel like the invention of flying cars would cut out the need of flying on airplanes. There are many positives, as well as, many cons. With this invention, people would probably need the same schooling as those who fly real air planes. In my opinion, I feel this would draw people away from the idea of this.
When I was younger I always watched the Jetsons. It made me constantly imagine living in the future. I saw the flying cars along with everyone living in space and it seemed so cool. If there was something we could have to make life easier a jetpack would be nice. I could imagine flying from place to place with ease. Better yet having a teleported would be great as well because it would cut down on having to take cars and planes for trips. I wouldn’t have to pay so much for air fare when taking trips either. Its instant access to another location. Also in the Jetsons they have robots that do everything for them and I would love that. I could have a robot to take out the trash. One to wash my car. I would definitely have one for my laundry because washing folding, and ironing clothes are probably the biggest hassle in the world. I also hat washing dishes I just rather do anything than that and laundry. So if it could be done for me then why would ever do it. Life would be so much nicer with all these inventions. It would also be a whole lot interesting. This is because most people wouldn’t know how to act with these not having to walk and do simple things. A lot of people would probably get fat however I wouldn’t allow myself to. I’d have a robot to help me workout to avoid all of this.
If I could invent a piece of technology it would have to be a robot. Me being the type of person that I am, I consider myself lazy when it comes to doing some stuff, especially when I’m just getting settled in somewhere. The robot would be able to help with whatever is needed and not just for lazy people. The robot would cater to all humans and would be a great addition to people living on their own, disabled individuals and the “Lazy”. An example would be say you’re in bed and you are almost ready to fall asleep but you want a snack from the kitchen but, it’s too far and you don’t feeling like getting up. You would have a button to call the robot to come to where you are and you would tell them what you want and where to get it from. The robot would be an at home service so that nothing out in public will demagnetize it. I feel like the target audience would be pretty general because say someone is disabled and they aren’t able to get around on their own the robot could help out when it comes to getting things for them or reminding them to do things, and as for the younger audience it could help cater to their laziness. A negative effect that this might have is the creation of the robot, because robots would be created in this century if technologists could create them without any glitches.
As crazy as it sounds, I honestly don't think the future will be as technologically advanced as we may think. However, I always have asked myself what if the future would be more than I expected. In today's society, technology has improved significantly and has been very beneficial to humans. Cars, computers, machinery, and all other type of technological innovations have been created to assist us in life.Growing up as a child, I watched shows like Phil of the Future,Inspector Gadget, and even The Jetsons. Watching shows that were possibly predicting the type of technological advances that would be created is amazing. I would love to be able to teleport like Phil did in Phil of the Future. I mean just think how environment friendly teleporting could be. Gas, time, and energy could all be saved from one innovation which I would love to see in the future. Another example would be Inspector Gadget which relied on high tech tools to assist him in cases that he had to solve. Just to think how nice it would be to have a tool help you with everything that you needed. What if there was a tool that could do your hair/makeup for you? A tool that could cook/clean for you? I would love to see creations made to assist humans hands on because I know I am to busy to cook and clean sometimes so that would definitely make life easier. I definitely the target audience for the high tech equipment would be for people born in the 90s and younger and that is only because we are more technology savvy and older people have the tendency to be stuck in the old-fashioned ways. A lot of innovations did not come about until about 90s. Cons of of the future depending on technology would be that everything would come to easy and no one would know how or what to do for themselves anymore because they depend on a piece of machinery to do it.
Technology is growing tremendously over little amounts of time. Which is really scary, because you never know what’s next. I was always into the futuristic shows growing up like Phineas and Ferb and how they went to a different planet in one episode. Then explored the whole planet. I also loved the movie “Transformers”. With the cars turning into robots and basically drove there self when they wanted. Basically having a mind of its own. But what I’d like to see someone invent is a crash sensor for a car. A sensor that would control the car when it gets out of control. When the car starts spinning out of control, it’ll turn the wheels back straight. Then when a car gets too close to your car it would move your car out of the way before you get hit. But if you do get hit before it could move, it moves you to the safest part of the car. So it would lower the chances of you dying in the accident. This would help everyone that drives. You would no longer have to worry about paying high insurance fees because of your car got hit or pay your money to these body shops that are getting over on everyone with the outrageous prices. Then if you actually had an accident, it moves you to the safest part of the car, so you won’t have to worry about paying a hospital bill. Which will make the death rate from accidents go down and parents would actually have more faith in letting their children driving their car.
Growing up in the 90s eras, I also watched a lot of old television shows and movies. The Jetsons was one of my favorites to watch. Watching old shows and movies like; Phil of the Future, That’s So Raven, and Smart House. I always thought we would have robots, things that would take us to the future and flying things now. Technology has evolved so much and still is evolving till this day. Growing up I hated doing chores, and being that I’m in college when I go home I still do them sometimes. I always wanted to have robot’s around. They could be very helpful, especially at times when I don’t feel like doing anything. They can help wash dishes, fold clothes, cook, help with homework, do yard work, etc. Robots would be good to have around, because they would be smarter than humans and could figure out things we can’t sometimes. Having robots would be a good and a bad thing. Some cons would be; having robots would make people lazy, people would just sit around and not do anything at all they would use the robot to their best advantage. Robots could have major glitches, and malfunctions as well. Having robots around would cost the government plenty of money. They would have to run many tests to avoid the robots from messing up, and pay for the equipment as well. Those cons could probably be the reason they’re not around today. Just the idea of having robots around sounds fun, but we just never know if they’ll be in here in the future!
The world around is constantly changing, there is new technology that is developing daily. The technology that is changing is phones, cars, computers, medical technology, and more. In the future I believe that we will have cars that will drive themselves. The cars will be controlled by the mind of the person in the driver’s seat, also the car will can play any music type that you think of based off of what you tell it to play. I also can imagine flying cars coming into play, like the ones in the Jetsons. The flying cars will not be as high as planes but will be higher than trees, for quicker transportation. I also believe that based off of how much people use wifi nowadays, it will be available universally instead of just in homes or select hangout spots. The wifi would be available wherever you are, in your car or even somewhere as desolate as the woods. Similar to the movie iRobot, I can picture families having their own personal robot to help them with daily tasks. The robots will be programmed to only work for that one family and will have the capability to cook, clean, run errands, and even help take care of the family. The only negative side to all these inventions is the fact that technology does have the ability to malfunction and make life worse than it is now. For example, the robots turned on the humans they worked for, or the cars could have safety issues. Our world is ever changing as well as the technology within it, although technology makes life better it can also malfunction and make things worse.
Technology is rapidly growing every day, every time you turn around it’s a new piece of technology being release to the public. I wouldn’t be surprised if you were to be able to fly cars instead of drive them. I’m sure in the next ten years’ cars will be able to fly and you wouldn’t have to buy an airplane ticket you will be able to just fly your car across the world. That’s something I want to see in the future is flying cars, it would make life a little easier. The pros for the flying cars is you wouldn’t have to worry about sitting in traffic or booking flights. With the flying car, you would be able to fly across the world and it would be powered by solar panels and electricity so you would save money because you wouldn’t to put gas into it. Having a flying car would cut down on drunk driving accidents, train accidents and plane crashes. In order to purchase a flying car, you would have to take a five month long flying class to earn your pilot license to operate a flying vehicle. If the person already had its pilot license due to the fact they were a pilot, then they can automatically purchase the flying car. Some of the cons is that oil companies would lose production because people wouldn’t need gasoline anymore, air traffic would increase and could have an effect on airplanes. Flight lines would also lose revenue because people wouldn’t plane tickets anymore. I personally think the pros outweigh the cons. The target range for the flying car would be 25-50 years old. I wouldn’t young people or elderly people driving cars that fly because they are careless and more likely to cause an accident.
When I was little I had a very big imagination. Very much when I would watch Spongebob Squarepants and Phineas and Ferb. Back then I would wait to see if things that happened on television would happen in real life. I wish a Time Machines will soon be invented in our world today. To let humans go back into time to fix and change things and make them before for themselves or the world. Also to go in the future to see how life will be in 2020 and etc. Those with a hard childhood can have the opportunity to have the life they never had. Teleporting will make life so much easier because there would be plenty save money, time, and gas if these were invented. Also Smart House was a good movie that had me amazed and wondering if they would be innovations in the future. They would come in handy, she/he can make breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the family, check the mail, wash everyone's clothes, clean the dishes just imagine your house doing all your chores by just telling it to. This technology would be good for someone who has an full time job with a lot of kids, husband works full time, children not old enough yet to do chores or a single parent who needs a hand. The pros of these technology is that this will take plenty of time and money off you and your spouse hands. The cons are what if it messes up and your house or Time machine blow up or something.
A piece of technology I would like to see be invented would be a actual hover board. Not the ones that they have today that have wheels. It would make traveling more fun and easier. It would be able to float and hover on air and move quickly but not too fast to avoid injuries. I believe that it should have latches or some type of magnetic pull that keeps your feet attached until you completely stop. I honestly believe that the target for this device would ultimately be teenagers and college students. Some cons of this device would be the price. I think this would be real pricey because of how advanced the hover board will be. that comes with the hover board. Another con would be the lack of safety that the hover board possesses. The hover board isn’t going to do too much protecting because it is only a board the most the users can do is wear protective equipment when operating the device. There are more cons than I can list but I can list one more that is going to effective the number of people that will have or purchase a hover board. The price will most definitely have a serious effect on the people who can buy the hover board. Most wealthy people will have the devices first then it will trigger everyone else to want to get the hover boards but most still won’t be able to afford them until the prices drop or a newer model is made and they ca get the older one.
A piece of technology I would like to see is the computer screen display on a flat surface. It is the same as the computer but it would display on the desk and you could move the screen around and there is a keyboard on the flat surface as well. It also has the feature where if you can’t see what you want or if you’re viewing floor plans you can make the screen 3-dimensional. It would also have a feature where if you don’t want the screen to be flat it would have a feature that enables you to lift the screen so it would be like a real computer. This would make life easier or a desk job easier because there wouldn’t be a lot of cords on the floor or around the office which means less of a fire hazard. This technology can do everything a computer do it’s just a lot more cool and hassle free when it comes to connecting a bunch of cords. The target audience would be people working a desk job and people who can afford the desk. As I've already stated some pros would be less of a fire hazard and not having to worry about plugging in all of the cords. Some cons would be that it could only operate with WiFi connection so if you don’t have WiFi or have weak WiFi it will be more difficult to operate but by the time they make this WiFi should be dependable everywhere. Another con is that it will be expensive so not everyone will be able to have the joy of using this computer.
Growing up, I watched The Jetson’s and to this day, I still watch it on boomerang. The Jetson’s was always a super cool show in my opinion because none of the things going on in that show, was happening in the real world. I remember I would always pretend that I was flying around the house in my car just like them. Seeing that they had flying cars made me so jealous, I would love to have a flying car. I feel like there could be some positives to having a flying vehicle. I think that a lot of accidents could be prevented. A lot of common accidents come from another car hitting the other in the back. If cars could fly, yes that could still be possible, but you’d be more likely to hover around them and go. I think the cars could be able to go around because cars would be able to just fly around wherever they want to. There wouldn’t be any lanes, maybe a couple stop signs, traffic lights, and road signs, but no lanes. I wonder if flying vehicles would be good on gas? I feel like it could be good on gas because when you’re flying, you would be flying at a consistent speed for the most part. Then again, I feel like it could be bad because stopping and starting could drink up a lot of gas if you consistently do so. I just honestly feel like flying cars would be fun and exciting
when i was younger i can remember plenty of times where i watched The Jetsons. The technology I would like to be invented to help me would be and automatic food and beverage generator. It would help me for times where i dont have enough time to get food. I could put in a couple codes and a couple minutes later i would have food. For instance, i have class in the morning but i woke up late. what if i could put in a couple of numbers and next thing you know a McGriddle is sitting in my hands. Another example, my favorite food is crab legs but they are expensive and im low on cash. No problem, put in the code and a whole cluster and butter is right in front of me.
When I was younger I stayed watching the Jetsons, that was my show. In my opinion that show was very creative because it made me think that, that is how the future is going to be like. I also like to watch Futurama, that show made me think of many different technology that I would like to see in the future. Something that'll make everybody life easier is a car that can run on bubbles. This would be way more convenient than getting gas because gas takes way to long to pump. A plus for a car running on bubbles is that it wouldnt be so harsh on the environment. The reason why I said that is because bubbles are harmless, what has a bubble done to the earth? A con to a car running on bubbles is the fact that the prices of bubbles will probably go up since there is a higher need for them and how would we even put the bubbles in the "bubble tank"? There are so many other future inventions that I would love to come true but that brings out my inner lazy and would make America even fatter.
